Dave and Char Alexander

The Alexanders traveled to Taiwan in 1982 as career missionaries; they currently work with the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, the nation's oldest and largest Protestant denomination. Dave is a teacher and administrator at Tainan Theological College, and Char teaches at Chang Jung Christian University. Learn more.

The Swart Family

Caleb and Joanna Swart are serving in southern Ethiopia among the semi-nomadic Daasanech people. Caleb will be working alongside his father on a windmill project to aid in agricultural irrigation. As a nurse, Joanna will work in prenatal and immunization clinics. Learn more.

The Van Es Family

Rowland and Jane Van Es are working in a partnership between the RCA and St. Paul's United Theological College in Limuru, Kenya. Rowland teaches in both the economics and divinity departments, and Jane teaches sociology and psychology. She also coordinates a certificate program in Christian ministry for spouses of theological students and assists with the master of arts program in pastoral care and HIV/AIDS. Learn more.
